Lightning - Strikes Back - Series 1

Boom... Slam... Crash! Lightning was striking everywhere. Mouse our cat and cat our mouse were really really scared. Surprisingly both of them don’t hate each other. Mouse (The cat) was on my lap and cat (The mouse) was on mouse, snuggling into his soft silky ginger fur. Everybody in the house was asleep apart from me (Well mouse and cat to). I was pretty sure that mum and dad were asleep, because if one of them couldn’t get to sleep they would come out and watch the tele. My tummy started rumbling, so I went into the fridge, opened the door and their it was. My big, massive, giant, jumbo birthday cake. I forget to tell you that it was going my birthday tomorrow. I was turning 9 and I was meant to be going to a place called, Tree Adventures but it don’t think I will be because of this horrible weather. Boom... Smash... Slam! The lightning was still going off like crazy, I heard another big boom. It must off struck the big acorn tree outside. I went to my room and put my big puffer jacket on, and ran outside. Lightning was striking everywhere, it was going in all sorts of different directions and struck in the places that you would of least expected. Mouse’s cat bowl was outside and it was silver, so it was attracting the lightning. I picked it up and started running for the door. It was an big mistake. I got struck. There was nothing I could do. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t yell. The cat bowl was still on me so I knew I was going to get struck again.

Stanmore Bay

Stanmore Bay is a very very beautiful beach. It has the best park ever with a flying fox that is the bomb. It’s the best place to go in summer in New Zealand, because then you can go swimming on the exquisite beach. The police force own 9 houses that you can rent out at Stanmore Bay. They are right on the beach. Some are on the ground and some are upstairs.

At Stanmore Bay you can also use kayaks. So then you can go kayaking on the gorgeous water. Lots of people at Stanmore Bay make sand sculptures. Once we found a crocodile sculpture, and it looked amazing. For decoration they used some shells. Another really cool thing about Stanmore Bay is that the shells on the beach are really stunning. Once I found a sea crab lounging in the scorching hot sand.

So thats why I love Stanmore Bay SO MUCH.

10 Things I Would Bring To A Tropical Island

10 THINGS:

* Clothes - I'd bring clothes to keep myself warm and so I wouldn't be running round naked all the time.

* Match Sticks - I'd bring match sticks so I could light a fire to keep warm and to cook my food.

* All Kitchen Equipment - I'd bring kitchen equipment so I could put my food on a plate and cut things up ect.

* Blankets - I'd bring blankets so I could sleep comfortabley and keep warm.

* Matris - I'd bring a matris so I wouldn't get back problems when I sleep and so I could sleep comfortabley.

* Food & Water - I'd bring food & water so I wouldn't starve to death and so I could keep hydrated.

Hayley's Famous Ice Cream Sandwich

A silent message: This sandwich has never been made OR eaten so do NOT try this at home (only if you wish)

Ingredients:

5 Ice creams (your choice)

Bread (white)

Chocolate sauce that hardens (Only comes in milk chocolate)

A whole bar of chocolate (your choice)

Chocolate powder (optional)

Lollies (optional)

Cooking Equipment:

Knife (sharp)

Plate/s

How To Make It:

1: Get your chocolate sauce that hardens and get 2 pieces of bread. Cover the bread with your chocolate sauce. Once the chocolate has hardened it should become the shape of the bread. Do both the pieces of bread.

2: Then you need to get your 5 ice creams out of the freezer and cut them into thinly sliced squares . Once you’ve done that you then need to put your lollies on if you are going to. Push the lollies down in the ice cream. If you don’t push the lollies into the ice cream, the ice creams won’t stick together properly and your sandwich will all fall out the end when you eat it.

3: Put your ice cream sandwich into the freezer so the ice cream won't melt.

4: When you take it out of the freezer, you can put on your chocolate power if you are going to.

And that's your "Famous Ice Cream Sandwich" done. It's very simple and easy. Good luck.

Imaginative Writing

As the bizarre alien fell asleep, his colourful friend shoved a transparent banana up his nose. Meanwhile well underneath the sleeping alien and his friend the ponderous elephant finally arrived at the underground tunnel. He seemed outrageously hungry and thirsty. So he went looking for some water and some minuscule bananas. On his little tour round the tunnel he found a very fierce dragon lying on a sturdy table. "Well the dragon looked fierce anyway"  said the elephant.

Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock...  Do you know how to tell the time, because I do, and it’s super helpful.  If you wear a watch it will help you to not be late, you’ll learn to tell the time better because you’re wearing it all day, you’ll be super styley and it makes you look smart.

1: Are you ever late to things? Because I’m not!  I always have a watch on my hand to give me a guideline to what the time is.  Imagine you being late to school, when you walk in the class all your teacher is wanting to do is growl at you.  If only you’d put your watch on in the morning! If you have a meeting and you are not wearing your watch, you could walk in late. When you walk in everyone is going to stare at you and you’re going to get that embarrassed feeling you get when you’re late to something.  You could solve these problems by wearing a watch everyday.

2: If you have a watch on you at all times, it will help you get better at telling the time, because you will have it on for most of the day.  So for an example. If you were at the mall and your mum told you to meet her outside the Warehouse at 11:45 am, you could check your clock anytime and anywhere. But if you didn’t know how to tell the time and didn’t even have a watch on you, you would have no idea what so ever what the time was, and what time is was for you to meet your mum, or whoever is picking you up.

3: Do you like to be styley? Because I know that I do. Imagine having all sorts of different watches, and wearing a different one out everyday. Wouldn’t that be awesome. Well you could have all sorts of different watches if you wore them and knew how to tell the time. I may have just one watch but I wear it alot. All though it may just be one watch this watch is black leather, so I think that its pretty styley. If you did start to buy more watches and wear them

more, people would think that you’re way more styley than what you used to be. Plus it makes you look really smart, because then if people aren’t wearing a watch themselves the can ask you.

So those are reasons why I think people should wear a watch all the time.

My Remote Control

Well, hello everybody my name is Hayley and I have just invented a new remote control and the name I have chosen for this unbelievable thing that could just be our future is the "Zoomagi." Cool right? Now I must tell you something extremely important. So are you ready for the news, "yes" I can hear you all saying. Well the news is that the Zoomigi is mine and mine only. Ah now that I've told you that news I should get on to telling you how the "Zoomigi" works. Well how this spectacular thing works is when you press a country or a place you're automatically going to be there. For an example if i just wanted a small break I could choose from the 9 beautiful places on my remote Disney Land, Hawai'i, Fiji, Rarotonga, Gold Coast, Perth, Croatia, Paris and Auckland also known as home. Well ok folks I'm sorry to say but that's all the I have for today, so make sure you remember me and my special remote.

My Favourite Part Of Me

Hi guys my name is Hayley and I love my eyes, I love them that much I even gave them a name "Brownie." Now the reason why I love my eyes is because I can see the things I love like, turtles and the colour blue. If I didn't have my eyes I wouldn't know what my favourite colour or animal would be. The second reason I love my eyes is because they're brown. I personally think my down eyes stand out from the colour of my skin, which is cool. There is one thing I don't like about eyes though the brown is a really dark colour so you can't really see my black pupil in the middle of my eye. The third reason I love my eyes is because I can be looking at something but be thinking about something totally different. Now the last reason I love my eyes is because they're very big and I can do a special trick with them. The trick I can do with them is I can lift my left eye and eye-brow up, to make a funny face. I must say it is pretty cool. I wonder what life would be like if I didn't have my beautiful brown eyes.
